I'm speaking at the local Princeton Club next week on Wednesday about "Taking Better Photographs." It's open to the public--you just need to pay $15 for lunch in advance. I'll show some photos (of course) and give everyone some tips on better vacation photography as well as always popular kid's sports tips and ideas on photo trips. If you live near Palo Alto, California I hope to see you there! You can read more about the talk as well as sign up online at the PCNC website or with the event information below.
Event Info:
Please join Princeton graduate and award-winning travel and nature photographer David Cardinal ’81 for our lunch on February 16th. David will provide us with lots of great tips for making the most of our travel and vacation photo opportunities with ideas for photographers of every level. His talk will be lavishly illustrated with his images from leading photo tours to remote corners of the world including southern Africa, Alaska and southeast Asia. David will also cover some of the thornier issues facing travel photographers including the ethics of paying for photographs, how to work with children, and the issues when traveling to sanctioned destinations like Myanmar (Burma).
Whether you’re thinking hard about what camera to buy and how to approach your next trip or you’re a budding travel photography guru, you’ll get some ideas about how to plan your photography, how best to travel with your gear, how to approach locations when you arrive, and most importantly how to capture great images that will wow your friends and family. And if you’re not sure whether you’d enjoy a photo trip, David can help with some of the pros and cons. You can learn more about David and his work at www.cardinalphoto.com.
