For six years we’ve been traveling to and photographing the wonders of Myanmar (also known as Burma) and have collected a good variety of information on visiting. Much of it is in articles we’ve written for our website or other publications and much more of it is found in sometimes hard to find books on the country, its history and its people. Of course we’d love to have you join us on one of our photo tours of the country, which we normally couple with Cambodia to provide a broad range of subjects for photography. Our next trip will be in December, 2011 and is already filling up. After that we expect to return in January, 2013 and combine our normal trip with an extra special extension to northern Burma further up the Irrawaddy River.

For the adventurous a book written by locals with a great set of maps of smaller towns is the Blueprint Guide to Myanmar, but it can be hard to find. And if you want to arrange your own trip, we highly recommend Tour Mandalay—do tell them we sent you!
